Nusa Penida island is a part of Bali and also the neighbor of Nusa Lembongan island. Nusa Penida offers stunning nature landscape that will amaze everyone that go to this island. In Nusa Penida, there’s a beach that I think it’s the hidden gem of this island that called as Atuh Beach. Atuh Beach offers stunning landscape of the crystal clear ocean, and cliffs that surrounding this beach.

I called Atuh Beach as the hidden gem of Nusa Penida because this beautiful beach location is quite far from the harbor that make it rarely visited by the tourists and the location of the beach is hided by the cliffs that surround it. This white sandy beach is like a true gem because it offers sparkling crystal clear ocean and serenity ambiance that is ideal for the peoples who seeking for private and calm holiday. Because the location is on the East part of the island, Atuh Beach offers beautiful sunrise view every morning.

Atuh Beach is located in Pejukutan Village on the East part of the island. If you want to go to Atuh Beach, from Denpasar you can use the speed boat that go to Nusa Penida from the Sanur beach. Or if you want to bring your private vehicle, you can go through Padang Bai port to Nusa Penida.

You can easily find a place to hire a vehicle near the port in Nusa Penida that you can use to explore the island. To reach the beach you have to drive for about 1 hour to the east, and on the way there you will see the beautiful nature landscape that owned by this island. After you reach the location, you have to walk down the cliffs for about 30 minutes to step your feet to the white sandy beach and feel the fresh ocean breezes. But you have to be careful when you walk down the cliffs, because it could be slippery and it is dangerous for you. Don’t forget to bring the first aid kit with you and use your safety equipments.
