10 Priority Indonesian Tourist Destination

Tourism Minister, Arief Yahya, in a press conference the end of 2015, at the Sapta Pesona Building, Ministry of Tourism. He set a target in the next year foreign tourists visit as many as 12 million people, and as many as 260 million trips domestic tourists. To achieve these targets, a number of strategies have been prepared, one of which is designated 10 tourism destinations will be a priority in next year’s tourist arrivals. Divided into two types, namely the National Tourism Strategic Areas and Special Economic Zone Tourism, following the 10 priority tourism destinations are.

Toba Lake

Volcanic lake has a length of 100 km and a width of 30 km is still one of the prime tourist spot in North Sumatra. The lake is completed with a small island in the middle. Toba Lake is known to have a view of a beautiful sunset. The location can be reached in just 4 hours drive using the route Medan – Parapat or Medan – Brastagi, Toba Lake is expected to attract more tourist visits.

Tanjung Kelayang

Belitung is the host for the many beautiful beaches. One of the beautiful beaches in Belitung is Tanjung Kelayang. The white sand and sandstone rocks makes the beach has its own signature characteristics. Infrastructure development and coastal management become the focus of future improvements.

Kepulauan Seribu

Besides being a resort island, this archipelago known as a marine national park with marine reserves covering an area of 106 thousand hectares. Administratively, the Thousand Islands consist of three villages, namely Panggang Village on Panggang Island, Kelapa Village on Kelapa Island and Harapan Village on Harapan Island. All three villages are divided into four zones, namely the core zones, protection zones, tourism zones and residential zone. To visit the Thousand Islands can be reached using small boats that rely on Marina Ancol.

Tanjung Lesung

Tanjung Lesung beach is famous for its beautiful natural scenery. Not only that, the sand white and beautiful underwater scenery also attracts tourists to come. Therefore, beach area in Banten has become one of the destinations that a priority in the coming year. Moreover, the infrastructure in the region has also undergone a lot of improvements.

Borobudur

Borobudur is the largest Buddhist temple in the world and become one of the wonders of the world. The temple was built by King Samaratungga of the Sailendra dynasty in the 8th century has now been surrounded by various beautiful tourist park. Located in the village of Borobudur, Borobudur sub district, 40 km from Yogyakarta, the temple will be a priority tourist arrivals. This temple has complete facilities.

Bromo, Tengger, Semeru

In the national park has an area of 50276.2 hectares, there are about 137 species of birds, 22 species of mammals, and 4 species of reptiles. This area became the only place that has the conservation of the desert area of 5250 hectares at an altitude of 2,100 meters above sea level.Beside of that, you can enjoy the amazing sunrise on top of Bromo Mount.

Mandalika

West Nusa Tenggara is one of the leading tourist destinations in Indonesia. In the next year Mandalika district in West Nusa Tenggara priority tourist visits. The problem in this area is being built international resort. Not only has that, to support the activities of tourism, the region also built infrastructure that allows travelers

Wakatobi

Wakatobi is one of the best diving spots in Indonesia. It located in Sulawesi Tenggara Province. However, Wakatobi still not received visits when compared to other dive spots. Forward Wakatobi will receive special attention as one of the destinations priority development

Morotai Island

Morotai Island has many interesting sides that can be enjoyed. The sloping beach with white sand and clear water is tempting many people to swim. To reach one of the beautiful islands in North Maluku, from Ternate tourists can use for 1 hour speedboat journey to Sidangoli. From Sidangoli journey continued for 3 hours to Tobelo using land vehicles. From this area speedboat journey is continued for 1.5 hours to get to the island of Morotai.

Labuan Bajo

Labuan Bajo is a port that never deserted from the tourist boat activity. From this area, tourists can visit many tourist destinations featured in East Nusa Tenggara, such as Komodo Island, Rinca, and Pink Beach.
